ANNOUNCEMENT

We are pleased to announce that the Region XI winner for the Exciting Healthcare category is Rob McLean from Avalon Mechanical for their 2020 Regional Tech Award submission for the Royal Jubilee Hospital Diagnostic and Treatment Center Heat Recovery Chiller Phase 1 project.

Innovation is a primary criterion on which submissions for ASHRAE Technology Awards are judged. In order to determine whether a project submitted merits an award, the judges want to know what features distinguish this project from other designs, what innovations incorporated into this project would cause other progressive designers from that geographical area to take a second look, in hopes of picking up some new ideas. In short, ASHRAE Technology awards are awarded for projects such as yours that add innovation to good design.

The next step will be submitted for the Society Level (awarded January 2021) Technology Awards competition in the Fall.
