Joanne Ogilvie

Indoor Air Safety Specialist

A Mechanical Engineering Technologist and having over 20 years experience in HVACR industry, improving indoor air safety has become my priority.

For nearly six years as VP of Western Canada for Sanuvox Technologies Inc, has allowed her to specialize in UV treatment by providing solutions for air disinfection and surface sterilization on cooling coils for many residential and commercial applications. She enjoys educating people in the industry and working with Engineers, Installers and Industry Distributors.

Her first introduction to the UV technology was over twenty years ago and she has been intrigued and passionate about this technology since. During her tenure at Honeywell, the indoor air quality focus was moving at great lengths and UV treatment was part of the solution. She bought her own Sanuvox UV induct system for her own home over 9 years ago and will have a UV system in her home until the end of her time.

Given the situation of what the world went through during the pandemic, due to airborne transmission, she believes that all buildings should be equipped with a UV disinfection system. Keeping up with new technologies and solutions is exciting and rewarding.

The Mission of the CTTC

The mission of  The Chapter Technology Transfer Committee (CTTC) provides efficient and effective transfer of current and relevant information throughout the HVAC&R industry to and from the Chapters. CTTC develops and maintains high quality and readily available tools to enable Chapters to offer information and attractive industry-related information and programs to all segments within the HVAC&R industry. CTTC reports to the Members Council.

We do this with Speakers, Panels or Tours.
