Since 2021, University of Engineering Students have had 1 or 2 teams every year place 1st or 2nd at the Western Engineering Competition (WEC) and move forward to the Canadian Engineering Competition (CEC).  

• In 2024, they had a Re-engineering team move forward from WEC

• In 2023, they had a Programming and Senior Design team move forward from WEC, and Senior Design got 1st at CEC.

• In 2022, they had a Consulting team move forward from WEC,

• In 2021, they had 2 Programming teams move forward from WEC and get 1st place and 2nd place at CEC.

The full participation in the Fall, then they will be sending 44 students to the Western Engineering Competition (WEC), which this year is being hosted by the University of Saskatchewan in Saskatoon.
